DVR Crosslock Distal Radius Plate, Titanium

The DVR Crosslock plate is the multi-plane member of the DVR volar plating family for the distal radius. Its distal locking screws run in two intersecting planes, so a single volar plate can capture dorsal and central articular fragments that a one-plane screw row would leave unsupported. The plate is a genuine original implant from the Zimmer Biomet DVR system, held in BoneCraft stock and distributed independently.

  • Crossing distal screw planes grip intra-articular fragments in three dimensions
  • Anatomic volar contour shared with the DVR plating family
  • Titanium construction, low profile at the joint margin
  • Lengths from short fragment plates to full shaft plates, left and right
  • Twelve catalog numbers across two code series, original factory stock

DVR Crosslock Plate — Multi-Plane Fixation for Intra-Articular Fractures

Comminuted intra-articular distal radius fractures rarely fail in one plane. Dorsal fragments tilt backward, central fragments sink into the metaphysis, and a single row of parallel screws can only restrain what lies directly in its line. The more displaced fragments a fracture contains, the more a single-plane construct leaves to chance.

The Crosslock configuration addresses this by crossing the distal locking screws in two planes through the same plate head. Fragments are pinned between intersecting screw paths rather than resting on a single row, giving the volar approach a way to control dorsal-sided pieces without a second incision. Fragment assessment and the choice between single-plane and crosslock fixation remain with the operating surgeon.

Product Details

The plate is seated on the volar cortex with its head at the joint margin, the shaft is secured, and the distal screws are then driven along their pre-set crossing trajectories to build a three-dimensional lattice under the articular surface. The two code series divide the range into left and right versions across the available lengths.
