Two plate families make up this line. The locking medial distal tibia plate carries threaded screw holes that accept locking screws and form a fixed-angle construct, intended for metaphyseal fragments, periarticular fractures and bone of reduced quality. The conventional medial plate uses standard compression holes, where the screw pulls the plate against the bone and interfragmentary compression does the work. Selected hole patterns combine both functions in a single implant, so one plate can carry fixed-angle support near the joint and compression screws along the shaft. Both families are precontoured to the medial distal tibia for the left and the right leg; intraoperative bending is limited to small final adjustments. The distal holes are angled so that screws can be directed toward the subchondral bone of the tibial plafond without entering the ankle joint, following the geometry published in the corresponding surgical technique.
